- First printing, first edition with blue boards and gold print. 222pp. No foxing to the endpapers as is common with this edition. Very light toning to the outside edges. The jacket is unclipped. The binding it tight and the pages are crisp and clean. Signed edition with inscription from the author: “I hope my stories may always please you very sincerely E Everett Evans”. The previous owners name is written on the inside of the front cover in pen. Light shelf lean with light rubbing to the top and bottom edges of the cover and spine. The bottom end of the spine has been gently nudged. The jacket is still quite bright and has had a protective poly cover added. The jacket has some bumping to the spine ends with color loss. The jacket has light rubbing to the corners and spine edges, a faint crease to the top edge of the front, and a few fingerprint stains to the rear. The page numbering starts with the introduction page as page 7.
