Description: Book shows heavy rubbing/wear to the textured leather cover. Cover surface is crumbling and rubbing away all along the edges and corners, and especially at the top and bottom of the spine. Front end page has a tear at the spine hinge, and back side of front end pages show some inscriptions from previous owners. Edges of text block has been dipped red but it has faded to pink, and some of the dye has spread onto the page faces themselves. Binding remains intact, however is loosening. All pages are still secure. Some pages have yellowed from age and may have taken on a mild wave. Overall, a good reading copy.
