Record Store Day
Record Store Day was first held in 2008, and was created as a way to celebrate and spread the love of music, vinyl, and independent records stores.
Special limited vinyl and CD releases are made exclusively for this event, which are only available at independent record stores. Every year, the list of releases continues to grow, with both independent labels and artists, as well as some of the biggest names in the industry.
On top of this yearly event, Record Store Day has also hosted an annual Black Friday event since 2010, offering exclusive releases as a way to bring the focus back to local, independent stores on the biggest retail day of the year.
