Hello, AU Family!
My name is Garry, and I’m the new General Manager! I am so very excited to be a part of this diverse family and back in the Uptown. I've always had a passion for business management, and I’ve been doing it for many years, working with all sorts of companies, but I’m most excited to have such a great team here at Adventures Underground, all of whom are just as passionate as I am.
After many “failed” phases, we are ecstatic to be in Phase 3! This phase allows AU to have 50 customers in the store, and we’ve gotten rid of the 45-minute rounds! However, we are still taking every precaution, as this virus is not over. We have doubled down on sanitizing all high touch point areas, and THE MASKS ARE STILL REQUIRED - THEY ARE TO BE WORN OVER MOUTH AND NOSE WHILE IN THE STORE! We just want to protect all of our customers’ health and safety, as well as that of our staff.
Speaking of the "mask rule breakers"...
My favorite genre of books is True Crime. There's something about true stories that gets me every time! It might be that these things can happen to anyone, anywhere, and at any time. The latest book I read was "I Did It: Confessions of a killer" by O.J Simpson. This read had my emotions all over the board! Not to make it sound like I’m writing a dating profile, but when I’m not reading about true crime, I’m watching documentaries or listening to podcasts.
I also spend a lot of time with my 7-month-old puppy, Ragnar. He is a Blue Heeler/Black Mouth Cur/Bully mix. We are in the “teen” phase of his life, so he definitely keeps me on my toes! We’ve been together since he was 2 months old. I rescued him from a not-so-great living situation, but he is now at his full weight, healthy, and loving life. We recently got him registered as an emotional support dog, so we are working hard at training! When I feel he’s ready, he will join the resident Adventures Underground Dog Pack with Mavis and Nami.
All in all, I am ecstatic to be a part of the AU team, and I’m looking forward to a successful and exciting future. Keep an eye out for future updates and writings! But in the meantime, if you have any questions, comments, or concerns, please reach out to me!
Sincerely,
Garry
