Woohoo!! It’s officially 2022! We hope you and your families had a very happy holiday season!

 

I want to thank each and every one of you for supporting us through the holidays. I can't say enough! We had one of the best holiday seasons in store history, and we met so many new people! The number of visitors who had never heard of us (or hadn't realized how nerdy we are) was a real thrill. While we're always keen to help new customers explore the store, our regulars played a major role in our success too - it's been exciting, getting to know them over my first year working here! Either way, whether you were a new face this season, or are one of our regular stop-ins, we hope your loved ones enjoyed opening their gifts from Adventures Underground.

 

2022 will bring some new and exciting things our way. First up is likely to be TRADE. We will (soon!) take Trade again, which means you’ll finally be able to clear out those attics and bookshelves! If you were familiar with our old Trade Program, please be aware that this will be a NEW system. For more information, keep an eye on our website and other social media platforms; we will release the details and guidelines of our Trade Program as soon as we're ready!

 

Events, on the other hand... With the spread of the new COVID variant, our official gaming events are still on standby. We're anxious to get them started back up again, but our first priority is to keep everyone safe and healthy. In the meantime, the Caterpillar Cafe usually has space for your campaign or board game group to set up! Their space isn't available to be reserved, but we have some incredible, custom-built gaming tables that mean there's usually room to spare.

 

If you've shopped with us anytime over the last six months or so, you know we've been asking customers to "Round Up" their change for local charities. Since June, we've helped customers donate to seven different local charities. SEVEN! We've even matched a portion of your contributions each month! This is a habit we'll continue into 2022, providing customers with the opportunity to give back and be confident that it's going to those who need it right here in the Tri-Cities. For January, we'll be supporting the Domestic Violence Services (DVS) of Benton and Franklin Counties.

 

As Mother Nature continues to throw her temper tantrum, we want you all to stay safe and warm. To help ensure this for everyone - including our staff - AU's Open Hours may be reduced due to weather conditions over the coming weeks. Keep an eye on our social media and website, as each day will vary, but we will always try to announce any changes by 4pm that day!

 

Once again, a huge THANK YOU from this small business. You've kept our doors open and our hearts full for nearly 15 years.

 

(That's right! We'll be FIFTEEN this year! Stay tuned - we may or may not have some big birthday plans in the works...)
